CalArts UKAL 전시팀이 준비한 두 번째 전시.
California Institute of the Arts (이하 칼아츠)에 재학 중인 한인 유학생
아티스트들의 각기 다른 예술적 특성을 지닌 작품들을 보다 널리 알리고자 기획되었습니다.

<Kaleidoscope;파편>은 조각조각 흩어진 다양한 한인 유학생 아티스트들이 이 전시를 통해 한데 모여, 마치 만화경처럼 다채롭고 아름다운 예술적
풍경을 함께 만들어 나간다는 의미를 담고 있습니다.

The 2025 Exhibition by CalArts UKAL, , will be held from 04.18 to 04.20. This exhibition was organized to showcase the works of Korean international student artists studying at CalArts, each with their unique artistic characteristics.

Symbolizes how diverse Korean international student artists, each like scattered fragments, come together through this exhibition to create a vibrant and beautiful artistic landscape—just like a kaleidoscope.

Sunset, Sunrise

The image on the front, depicting the sunrise, is layered over the image of the sunset in the background. Sunset and sunrise represent distinct moments of transition—day giving way to night, and night giving way to day. The sky is ever-changing, and color becomes the marker of time. The blue hues of the fragmented pieces merge seamlessly with the blue in the background layer, blurring the boundaries between two different times. This fusion creates a sense of disorientation, blending time and space into one unified moment.

<Sunset, Sunrise> 는 두개의 레이어 - 앞면의 일출과 뒷면의 일몰이 중첩되어 있는 작품이다. 일몰과 일출은 상반되는 두 시간대의 전환이 일어나는 시점으로,  낮은 밤이 되고, 밤은 낮으로 바뀌게 된다. 하늘은 끊임없이 변화하며 색은 시간을 나타내는 지표가 된다.<br> 앞 레이어의 조각들의 푸른색은 뒷면 레이어의 푸른색으로 자연스럽게 어우러지며 서로 다른 두 시간대가 합쳐지고 시간과 공간의 경계를 흐린다.
